Digital software refers to programs, applications, or systems designed to perform specific tasks, run on digital devices (like computers, tablets, or smartphones), and operate in a virtual environment. It encompasses a wide range of tools and applications used for productivity, communication, creativity, entertainment, education, and more.
For example:
Kahoot! can be a very educational and fun way to learn. Kahoot was introduced to schools in Barbados during the Covid period when online school was in full effect.
Teachers became innovative by creating quizzes and activities through Kahoot making it student friendly and easy to navigate. This allowed the students to be interactive and interested in the discipline taught.
Kahoot can also be used as an assessment for the students, this would allow teachers to have an idea where students are at and what has to be done for them to gain further knowledge on the subject area. Students know their scores immediately therefore teachers knew what needs to be done based on the scores.
This is one of the software which I found support learning. This also allows the children in our Barbadian schools to be engaged and excited about learning.
